Profile of the Month Jere Smith Smith, a member of the NASE Women’s Advisory Council, has been self-employed for four years. With a Masters in Business Administration, she held several positions doing accounting work in Liberty, Mo. But as her son, Julian, grew, she started considering self-employment. Smith wanted to be home when the nine year old got off the school bus, and quit her job in March 2000.
