Welcome to the Women’s Resource Center from the National Association for the Self-Employed! The NASE is truly excited about Women.NASE.org. Since July 2004, this section of the NASE Web site has grown in its scope, as well as its readership.

We developed this site in response to the growing number of women entrepreneurs in the country, and with their unique needs and challenges in mind. Through feedback from NASE Members and women micro-business owners nationwide, we cultivated an information-filled site that responds to your concerns, new experiences, and interests. Most of all, Women.NASE.org is a resource and major asset to your business as you build, grow and expand.

Browse the new site, and you’re sure to find something for your business. With the ABCs of Finance and Oppenheimer Financial columns, read regular columns addressing your financial and accounting questions. “Real-Life Self-Employed” follows NASE Members as they take their business in a new direction or face a challenge at work, and then NASE consultants offer advice on the situation. Our Advocacy feature highlights public policy affecting your micro-businesses. Plus, updates on the NASE Women Entrepreneurship Initiative and Women’s Advisory Council.

One of the most exciting new features on Women.NASE.org is "Voice of Experience," where your questions will be answered by someone who works closely with the NASE, and can offer a skilled response to your questions. Keep coming back each month, because soon you'll be able to get in on the action, and post an additional response to NASE Member's questions. This interactive chat will provide fresh, meaningful feedback and discussion on issues affecting you.

Each month, Women.NASE.org focuses on a new topic surrounding your business. This month, we start with balancing your work and personal life – whether that is defining the limits of your home office, or planning for retirement. Look forward to other monthly topics, including continuing education, maintaining the health of yourself and your business, and business expansion. With regular updates, rest assured that Women.NASE.org content will stay fresh, and will grow with you and your business.

If you want to be featured on Women.NASE.org, email WomensResourceCenter@nase.org with a brief description of your business, and why others would be interested in your profile, or your story for Real Life Self-Employed.

So dig in, explore, learn, and then let me know what you think. Help us make Women.NASE.org a true resource for micro-business owners.
